Remote Energy partners with outstanding organizations to provide solar electric technical training for international development projects. We are grateful for their collaborations and support, which are critical to our success.

SOLAR ELECTRIC LIGHT FUND (SELF)

SELF’s mission is to design and implement solar energy solutions to
assist the 1.2 billion people living in energy poverty. SELF has received international accolades for their solar garden program for women in Africa. Remote Energy has partnered with SELF to create a 2-year, 80-week technical training curriculum for their new National Solar Training Center in Port-au-Prince in partnership with Haiti Tec. Remote Energy’s role was to write regionally applicable curriculum to international standards - including lesson plans, PowerPoint, hands-on activities, and instructor notes. Remote Energy led the train-the-trainers for the Haitian team and designed the hands-on training lab facility.

WE SHARE SOLAR

We Share Solar engages students and teachers through project-based solar education. Their programs teach students about basic electricity, solar, and engineering, as well as create small solar systems that are donated to energy-poor regions in the world. Remote Energy has partnered with We Share Solar to lead technical instruction to students and their teachers who bring solar programs to their schools.

SOLAR ENERGY INTERNATIONAL (SEI)

SEI works to provide industry leading technical training and expertise in renewable energy to empower people, communities, and businesses worldwide. Remote Energy has partnered with SEI to teach many PV trainings for US and international audiences. Remote Energy has played an instrumental role in the design, installation and instruction for SEI’s new solar lab facility in Costa Rica.

OUTBACK POWER

Outback Power is an industry leader who manufactures power conditioning equipment and complete systems for battery-based renewable energy systems. Remote Energy partners with Outback Power to create curriculum on their latest products and provide monthly trainings for technicians as part of their Certificate Training Program.

RED CLOUD RENEWABLE ENERGY CENTER (RCREC)

RCREC is located on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota and has trained Native Americans from around the country in renewable energy. Remote Energy has partnered with RCREC to provide help with training and installation.

WOMEN IN SUSTAINABLE ENERGY AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP

WISEe is a group of women engineers, technicians, trainers and entrepreneurs working in Renewable Energy in Kenya. They build the technical capacity of eligible women to provide high quality solar Photovoltaic (PV) systems in the East African region.

EXPANDING LIVES

Expanding Lives empowers young women in West Africa to be leaders in their communities. Remote Energy partners with Expanding Lives to offer a 2-day class on small DC Lighting Systems for young women from Benin and Niger. Their scholars attend a six-week conference in Chicago and return home to complete their education, where they serve as role models for their peers and communities. Expanding Lives provides financial and mentoring aide to these young women to complete high school, university, and graduate studies in regions where the numbers of women in school are less than 10 percent.
