REMOTE ENERGY PARTNERS WITH WE SHARE SOLAR TO BUILD SOLAR SUITCASES

log

In February 2018, Brad Burkhartzmeyer and Chris Brooks taught a solar assembly workshop to 60 high school students in Chicago. The students learned how to build a 12-volt DC stand-alone solar system. The workshop produced 15 portable solar suitcases that can be used to power lights, cell phones, and computers, in remote locations. After being verified by a solar technician, 8 of the completed solar suitcases will be sent to Puerto Rico to assist with the post-hurricane relief effort. The remaining 7 solar suitcases will be distributed to other energy scarce locations where We Share Solar has programs.
